The Lakes is a planned community located within the city limits of Las Vegas, Nevada. This hidden area, often confused with Lake Las Vegas, is small in size, only spanning two square miles. The centerpiece of the community, and its namesake, is a large, man-made lake, Lake Sahara. This lake is also where the neighborhood gets its namesake.
